competition
capped off a fun filled 24 hours, when Mick, Chrissy, Pauline and
Bob visited Waiheke Island.
All fur coat, and no knickers
A group of fledgling movie-makers gathered over a weekend in
mid April to write, shoot and edit a short movie, all within a 48 hour
time frame.
A Perfect Match
The weather was perfect for Suz and Ted's beach front wedding
in Petone. Everything went off without a hitch, except for the happy
couple getting hitched.

A day of
biking, followed by a selection of thirst quenching beverages.

Trail.

The United Nations
Progressive Day of Eating and Drinking (U.N.PRO.D.E.D.) resulted in
a late night fracas, with the English delegation's efforts to be
repatriated back to their homeland, causing a lot of concern.

The 2010
Economist of the Year function came with a twist — this time it wasn't
a pub crawl.
Econopubly
The first ever game of "Econopubly" was devised and played
out on the streets of Wellington – as a band of wannabe tycoons
systematically secured iconic CBD properties, in a bid to become the
2008 Economist of the Year.
Swinging safari
Terry
and Ross visited us on Waiheke Island over election weekend and the
sojourn culminated with a day-trip over to Rangiriri, in North Waikato.

inaugrual Economist Poker Pub Crawl was held to determine the 2006
Economist of the Year.

To compensate for hitting the ripe old age of
forty, Shoddy was treated to a lavish weekend in the Wairarapa.

Guru Ted & Shoddi
Shiva (along with Moira Mahal) made the trip up to Auckland, for
a U2 concert, some fine Indian dining and another look around
Waiheke Island.

Steppin' back to the 70s
Passing teeny
boppers, on their way to and from Homegrown, were treated to a display
of multi-talented singing and dancing from a bygone era, at Sophie's
40th birthday celebrations.
Getting stopped in their tracks
Two classic
kiwi icons, the ubiquitous Marmite jar and the humble can of Watties
baked beans, were served to the hordes at the 2007 Rugby Sevens in
Wellington.
Island Time
Ted's Tiki Tour of
Waiheke took Shelley and Reuben to all corners of the Island, during
their whirlwind weekend visit.

They aren't getting any "younger" but AC/DC proved that age
was no barrier to putting on a rocking good show at Wellington stadium.
Foxy mamas and funky fellas
Plenty of cool
threads, lots of nifty food and heaps of groovy music were on show at
the 1970s Retro Dinner Party. Later in the evening, Shirley Bassie and
Selwyn Toogood joined in and livened things up.

Shoddy and Ted took a
trip across the ditch to see how the Sydney landscape has changed since
their previous visit — in short, not much at all.
Wedding Day Drama
Hannah and
Thom had a most memorable wedding day, when the bus transporting
the guests to the venue came within a whisker of toppling
over on a gravel driveway.

number of locations in some greater Roseneath locations.

Lord Alarn and
Guru Ted made a lasting impression on Maggie Barry and Bill Bryson, at
the Lower Hutt launch of his latest book.

Good Moaning Vietnam
Guru Ted and Shoddi enjoyed a relaxing three weeks in
Vietnamm and Cambodia. Shopping was high on the list of priorities, as
well as lots of rest, relaxation and plenty of honeymoon "pampering".

biking, followed by a fine selection of thirst quenching
beverages. Multiply this by five, and you have a sense of our journey
along the Otago Rail Trail over the Christmas holidays.

Horror Musical Entourage bedazzled the lower North Island - and the
folk in Taihape will never be the same again.

An Arabian Night
A sudden
increase in the number of dodgy looking Arabs sighted in Wellington had
NZ customs and border security on high alert. But it turned out to
be false alarm and was in fact an Arabian themed Christmas Party.
